Cecil R. (Rod) Bristol is a Director of Graphic Arts Advisors.  Rod has over 41 years of experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, print and graphic communications company management and financial education.  Rod has advised numerous clients on both their financial results and exit strategy options, with a primary emphasis on $2M to $20M annual revenue privately held companies. Rod is a Certified Franchise Executive and has presented the financial training programs for the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives for the International Franchise Association for many years.

Rod's first professional position was with the McDermont group, a mergers and acquisitions firm in Seattle WA. He remained with the firm until 1984 when he purchased Sudden Printing, and grew it into a $5M annual revenue, 19 location firm with a commercial printing division prior to selling the company in 2007.

 

Rod then begin an 11 year career with Profit Mastery and has presented financial education programs throughout the US and Canada, Puerto Rico, Delhi, Mumbai, the Philippines, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.  Rod has a well-earned reputation for making complex financial topics clear and fun to learn.

Rod currently is the Director of Business Development and is a presenter for Profit Soup, a financial education company headquartered in Seattle WA.  He is a columnist for Multi-unit Franchise magazine and writes the Finance column for this quarterly publication.

Rod was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, was Governor Appointee and Chair of the Washington State Economic Development Finance Authority and was Chairman of the Washington State Small Business Improvement Council.  

 

Rod served on the board of NAQP, serving as president for 2 terms and was named an Honorary Lifetime Member of NAQP in 2007.  Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Communications from the University of Washington.
