Mike Kellogg is a Director on the Graphic Arts Advisor team. Kellogg brings more than four decades of leadership in print, mail, and marketing services, with extensive experience in M&A and strategic advisory work. As CEO of Century Direct, he led the company through a long period of expansion, completing seventeen acquisitions and driving revenue growth of more than 700%. He managed all phases of the transaction process: sourcing negotiations, due diligence, and integration, establishing Century Direct as a successful platform for consolidating smaller firms in the sector.
Mike's experience on both the buy side and sell side provides him with a balanced and empathetic perspective. He understands first-hand the financial, operational, and emotional considerations that owners face during a major transaction and works closely with clients to help them maximize shareholder value and navigate critical decision points.
A trained attorney, Mike Is a long-standing member of the Employment Law and Corporate Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association. His background includes collective bargaining. workers' compensation matters, and employee benefits. He served as a trustee on two pension trusts, including a Taft-Hartley multi-employer plan, where he collaborated with union leadership to transition from a defined benefit to a defined contribution structure.
Throughout his career, Mike has remained at the forefront of technology's impact on marketing services. He guided Century Direct's Investments in data security, workflow automation, digital output, and omnichannel marketing strategies. As a consultant to an international equipment manufacturer, he provided guidance on cybersecurity risks, prompting the company to conduct a comprehensive review of its firewalls and customer security protocols.
Mike is a frequent industry speaker and panelist, a member of the Walter F. Soderstrom Society, and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the NYC Chapter of Epicomm (formerly MP5A). He also lectures on leadership for MBA candidates at New York University.
He holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rochester and a law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. Outside of work, Mike enjoys music, fishing, motorcycling, skiing, outdoor activities, travel, and reading.
