Seneca Printing Express & Label

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ, July 21, 2025Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA), a leading M&A advisory and consulting firm serving clients in the printing, mailing, packaging, and graphic communications industries, served as exclusive M&A Advisor to Seneca Printing Express & Label in the sale of the business to Seneca Label and Packaging.

Seneca Printing Express, a multi-generational company, was founded in October of 1992 by Jeff Steigerwald Sr. In 2014, Jeff Steigerwald Jr. took over the company and assumed the helm. With a focus on manufacturing efficiency and quality control, Steigerwald Jr. steered Seneca Printing Express away from its historical emphasis on general commercial printing and into cut & stack label production, servicing private-label branded customers. Industrial label printing was also added to the product mix.

“Jeff Steigerwald has built an exceptional label company with deep roots in Pennsylvania and the Midwest. We are thrilled to partner with Jeff and Seneca Printing Express and look forward to continuing our growth plans in the Midwest and Northeast areas,” explains Nizar Elias, CEO of Seneca Label and Packaging.

“We couldn’t be happier for Seneca Printing Express and our family to be joining Seneca Label and Packaging,” commented Steigerwald Jr. “Nizar Elias and his team bring the right cultural fit for our company and a wealth of knowledge, providing us with excellent growth opportunities.”

“Seneca Printing Express is a great fit for the strategic vision of Seneca Label and Packaging, and we’re excited about the immense growth potential this partnership will unlock,” said Ned Weaver of Wood Creek Advisors, who served as the strategic M&A advisor on behalf of the buyer, Seneca Label and Packaging.

The GAA team was led by Mark Hahn, Senior Managing Director. “We got to know Jeff Steigerwald through our value assessment process and had great respect for the growth in label production he had achieved at Seneca Printing Express,” shared Hahn. “Although Jeff was not prepared to go to market in a broad outreach process, he was open to a private discussion with GAA relationships that we thought would achieve his dual goals of obtaining financial support for future growth while he remains in an active leadership position at the company. Through our relationships with Nizar Elias and Ned Weaver, Managing Partner of Wood Creek Advisors, we knew of Nizar’s past success in building a highly successful label platform. We felt that bringing these parties together was a unique opportunity to establish a new specialty packaging and industrial label platform.”

GAA team member John Hyde, Managing Director-Special Situations, added, “We brought these parties together and then leveraged insights from our earlier work on Seneca’s business value assessment to help negotiate and structure a win-win outcome.”
